Happyfoxtravels is a travel blog run by a travel enthusiast and an electrical engineer – Mojca, sometimes joined on her travels by her boyfriend Žiga. Here you can read about her travel adventures around the globe and some travels tips which might come in handy while you’re traveling yourself.

The idea for happyfoxtravels has been growing since Mojca and Žiga went on their first trip to Asia together in 2015 but hasn’t fully come alive until 2018 when Mojca decided to take a bit of a break from ordinary life to go exploring the world. Now her sabbatical is finished but her joy for exploring new places is still alive and kicking. So stay tuned for new adventures…

About Mojca 

I am an electrical engineer and MBA graduate, who always lived by the rules. I had a career and a plan for the future, but at one point I noticed that I am stuck between what is expected of me and what I want to do, and how much those two things differ. I was struck in a rut and tired to the point it started to affect my health and my happiness. So armed with the support of my loved ones, I decided to take a break and do “nothing” for a while. Well…rest, travel, eat, learn about new cultures, languages and regain energy for what lies ahead.

 

Before happyfoxtravels

I always knew how many vacation days I had left. They were carefully counted and effectively used. I am uniquely lucky that my boyfriend can adjust his holiday days to mine. Every year we try to do a backpacking trip, a windsurfing trip, and a short city trip.

Together we saw some parts of the USA, India, Japan, Thailand, Greece, Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, BIH, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Croatia,  I visited Hong Kong and Korea alone and Morocco with friends. You can see a map of our travels and travel wishes here.

We both enjoy windsurfing and scuba diving and try to include them into our trips, especially if we’re near warm waters.
