I am betting 2020 to be a year of big adventures and also big challenges and changes.
We will definitely cross some destinations off our bucket list. Not too many, since this year is going to be eventful enough on its own.
We started the year by hitting the Italian slopes in January. That was our first skiing trip after quite a few years and it was awesome. And as it turns out, we both still know how to ski. 🙂
To add a little variety, we are hitting the tropics in February. We always try to skip a month of winter and leave Ljubljana in February, since the usual average temperature is about 0°C. It is usually also foggy, snowy and in general wintery.
And because this February is a bit special – it has 29 days, meaning my birthday is coming up, we decided to celebrate it somewhere warm. We are finally going to the Caribbean, more specifically, to Cuba. I am planning on spending my birthday sipping mojitos on a beach.
Next, I am rooting for a summer trip to Scotland or Portugal. My big wish is to go somewhere with my parents this year since we have never travelled that far together before. I think it will come to a difficult decision between these two options.
There will, of course, be trips to the seaside, but we are planning a summer in our favourite city – Ljubljana. Even though there are insane amounts of tourist here nowadays it is still a nice place to be in the summer months.
We also need to plan a very happy fox wedding, which will happen in autumn and it is going to be… (I am thinking somewhere between stressful and glamorous). And with what’s left of our vacation days we might try to squeeze in a short honeymoon trip somewhere and of course, hit a Christmas market somewhere nearby.
But, since plans are made to be broken, be sure to follow out adventures on Instagram, Facebook or here. 🙂
