If you are an anime fan, you can spend hours browsing the shops of Akihabara on the Chuo Dori street, if you are a fan of computer games, electronics or basically anything you can imagine, you can find it here. There are shops selling food and bicycles on the same floor as sex toys, children games and shoes – because, why not. There are also huge buildings just for pachinko fans if you are able to stand the noise and indoor smoking. You can buy costumes, electronics and basically anything made from plastic.
You can also visit a maid cafe where waitresses dress up and act like maids or anime characters, owl cafe to pet the owls or a cat cafe if you are not allergic as I am.
When here, you definitely need to visit the Don Quijote store – it is like a magical kingdom of everything you can ever imagine in one place. The Akihabara branch is also home to the girl pop group AKB48, who perform daily shows at the theater on the 8th floor of the store. Or you can just watch the dancing performance of girls working in candy stores. That is some motivation to sell candy.
